About Dr. Jerome Ha

Dr Jerome Ha is an Australian-trained comprehensive general ophthalmologist with a focus on Cataract Surgery and Medical Retina care. He obtained his medical degree from The University of Melbourne, Australia, and pursued further studies, earning a Master’s degree in Medicine with a specialization in Ophthalmic Science from The University of Sydney. Certified by RANZCO (Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists), Dr. Ha completed his Ophthalmology training at Sydney Eye Hospital. He also underwent specialized training in complex cataract surgery and anterior segment surgery during a year-long fellowship at Tertiary trauma Hospitals Royal Prince Alfred and Liverpool Hospital. Additionally, he pursued another year of fellowship in Shrewsbury, UK, focusing on Oculoplastic surgery. Dr Ha is also an examiner for RANZCO.

Having gained extensive clinical and surgical expertise over numerous years in both metropolitan and rural New South Wales, Dr Ha has been delivering tailored ophthalmic patient care. Dr Ha is a highly experienced cataract surgeon, having performed high volume cataract surgeries at a highly reputable cataract surgical day facility in Sydney. Now based in Canberra, patients can be rest assured that he is readily available to address all aspects of their eye care needs. Our contemporary and fully equipped Canberra clinic is at the medical precinct in Deakin, with ample car parking and easy access. Dr Ha conducts surgical operations at Canberra Private Hospital, Deakin and Canberra Microsurgery, Phillip.

Dr Ha also consults weekly at his well-equipped clinic in Goulburn NSW.

In addition to English, Dr Ha is fluent in Mandarin.
