Referrals are required for an appointment with a specialist. A referral obtained from a GP or Optometrist lasts 12 months and from a specialist doctor lasts 3 months. Once we have your referral, you are more than welcome to contact us for an appointment. When making your appointment, we will provide you with a cost estimate for the consultation and scans.
Please bring:
- Your referral letter (most of the time we already received them directly from your referrers).
- Medicare Card / Private Health Fund
- Current Medication
- Current glasses prescription
Often your pupil will need to be dilated and therefore you are not able to drive afterward, so please arrange for someone to send you home.
Expect 1-2 hours for your appointment. Our clinic is in Canberra Specialist Centre with 2-hour and 4-hour paid parking available.
